Accessibility Features so far include:
Changing text size
You can change the size of the text by clicking on the A+ and A- buttons in the top left of the website.
Alternatively you can use the settings of your browser to change text size.
Pluss' website is designed so that the pages can accommodate whichever text size you choose.
Changing the colour of the website
Pluss' website can be viewed in different colour combinations in order to make it easier for people with visual impairments and dyslexia.
You can choose a different colour combination by clicking the 'Change colour' menu at the top left of the website.
Listening to the website
Visitors can listen to Pluss' website with BrowseAloud, which is free to website visitors and can be easily downloaded from the BrowseAloud Website.
BrowseAloud works by reading web pages aloud
in a human-sounding voice. The user simply hovers their mouse pointer
over the text to hear it read aloud.
Points Symbols
Pluss' website is Point Symbols enabled - as you hover your mouse over words they become highlighted, and a picture symbols appears.
Visitors have the option to turn the pictures on or off using the large orange switch at the top left of the site.
When the picture is orange it is turned on. When it is grey it is turned off. The text next to the picture also tells you if it is on or off.
Some words (such as ‘a’, ‘is’, ‘the’) do not appear when the pointer is hovered over them. If there is currently no symbol for the word in the Symbol Database, the word is highlighted in grey.
