There are three main types of mobility scooter, these are:
Travel Scooter 
Our travel scooters typically break down into four parts: the seat, battery, front chassis and rear drive. They easily come apart to fit into the boot of most cars. These scooters are limited to 4 mph and have a range of 5 to 10 miles.
Mid Size Scooter
Our mid size scooters offer more comfort and greater range than the travel scooters. They are still limited to 4 mph but have increased range of between 10 and 20 miles per charge but are not portable unless you have an estate/MPV with a set of ramps.
Class 3 Scooter
This is the class of scooter you require if you are looking to go on the road. They have a top speed up to 8 mph and also have a full set of lights and indicators. They also have a switch to restrict the top speed to 4 mph whilst on pavements/shopping centres etc. They have a range of up to 30 miles.
