Pluss were delighted to scoop the 'Diversity' award at the Yorkshire Excellence in Business awards on Friday.
Held at the glamourous Royal Armouries in Leeds we were presented with our award by Michael Portillo. The awards received more entries than ever before with over 300 nominations.
The judges were impressed at how Pluss and its supply chain had helped more than 1,300 people with physical, disabilities, learning disabilities, mental health issues, autism, hidden disabilities and long-term health conditions move into work. They were also impressed with the case study Pluss submitted which stated “I was unemployed for 2.5 years and applied for several hundred jobs. It didn’t feel good; you lose your self worth. Now I’m in work, I feel so much more confident.”
Paul Almond, from Pluss said “It has been a really good quality night with great presenters. There have been people here tonight who have really inspired us."
We would also like to offer our congratulations to the other two 'Diversity' award finalists, Right Fuelcard Company and Heald.
