Pluss' innovative approach to partnership

Go back to previous page

Pluss has developed an innovative consortia model that moves away from an old-style prime and subcontractor model which we don't think is working well, either for customers or for commissioners of services.

Our approach involves a top table approach with key provider partners. Those organisations sit together with us to manage projects where we are the successful bidder, working with us on aspects of delivery where they have valuable experience.

We think that this approach to delivering employment programmes makes better use of the considerable expertise of our partners, enabling them to shape and review services and deliver significantly better value to commissioners. Most importantly it will ensure resources are focused on what matters most – delivering an excellent service to our customers, giving them the best possible chance to turn their lives around.

Last month we were assessed by the Merlin Standard inspection team. The Merlin Standard has been designed to encourage excellent supply chain management and to ensure fair treatment of partners and subcontractors by prime contractors. We were given a 'good' rating with an overall score of 80% (click here to read more). The assessors were particularly impressed with our innovative approach to partnership.
