Photo of Achiever winnersPluss were delighted to host Disability Confident at the beautiful Hall for Cornwall in Truro today.

The event was attended by over 80 delegates from businesses across Cornwall. We were delighted to be joined by Sarah Newton, MP for Truro and Falmouth, who spoke passionately about how disabled people bring innovation, commitment and a competitive edge to business. We were also delighted to hear from Katy Hutchinson from Cafe Chaos, Paula Jeffery from Haven Holidays and Kim Conchie from the Cornwall Chamber. A particular thank you to Frontline Total Security for stepping in to be a speaker at the very last minute.

The highlight of the evening was our Achiever of the Year awards. Huge congratulations to both Catherine Iddles (St Mawes Bakery) and Laura Gilbert (Real Ideas Organisation) for their amazing achievements in work.

Thank you very much to Tristan Hunkin from Pirate FM and Kim Conchie for presenting our awards.

BBC Radio Cornwall and Spotlight were also in attendance and we look forward to seeing and hearing the feature next week.
