Non-Executive Director

Sally was appointed as a Non-Executive Director of Pluss on 1st February 2017 and has been working with the company since July 2016. She chairs the Audit Committee.

Sally is also a Non-Executive Director of Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust where she chairs the Audit and Assurance Committee and the trading subsidiary company, and a Facilitator for the Windsor Leadership Trust.

After gaining a degree in Sociology and Economics at Bristol University and qualifying as a Chartered Accountant, she moved to work for PWC in London, specialising in corporate finance for small and growing businesses and in researching and targeting the SME market.

In 1994 she moved to Devon with her husband and two daughters to take up the post of Chief Executive of St Luke’s Hospice in Plymouth. She retired from this post in December 2015. 

St Luke’s delivers all the specialist palliative care, including advice and support to other professionals caring for people at the end of life,  for the people of Plymouth, West Devon and East Cornwall in Derriford Hospital, the community and the hospice inpatient  unit.

She has been trustee/treasurer/chairman of several other charities including Hospice UK (the national membership body for hospices), the Harbour Centre Drug and Alcohol advisory service and the Barbican Theatre in Plymouth. She has been on the board of many other bodies including Health Education South West and Common Purpose Plymouth.
