Pluss - employees pictureApplications
We particularly welcome applications for all of our jobs from people with disabilities and are committed to providing reasonable adjustments, where necessary, to make interviews and jobs more accessible.

Should you have any difficulty completing an application form please contact Pluss' Human Resources (HR) Administration Team on 01392 224441.

Interviews
As users of the '2 ticks' disability symbol, Pluss guarantees to interview all applicants who disclose a disability and meet the essential requirementsfor the position. Those who wish to be considered under the Guaranteed Interview Scheme, can request shortlisting criteria with their application pack.

We aim to shortlist within one week of the closing date of receipt of applications.  We will contact you as soon as possible after this to let you know if you have been invited to interview.

Should you need any help or adjustments to enable you to attend an interview, please contact the HR Administration Team on 01392 224441 to discuss further.

The interview panel will normally be made up of at least two people.  If selection tests are to be used as part of the interview process, you will be notified of this in your invitation to interview.

When recruiting new members of staff, Pluss always seeks to ensure that the best candidate is chosen for each job. Pluss will aim to meet all recruitment obligations under The Equality Act 2010 and The Code of Practice on Employment.

Job offers
All job offers are made subject to satisfactory recruitment checks (which include eligibility to work in the UK) having been received and subject to you being declared medically fit to undertake the post.

CRB Checks
Due to the sensitive nature of Pluss’ work and the people it employs, some of our positions will require an enhanced Criminal Record Bureau check (CRB).  Therefore all convictions including those considered to be spent must be declared in your  application.  This will not necessarily bar you from employment – each case will be individually assessed and judged on its merits.  We can assure you that any information you provide will be treated in confidence.

About Pluss

Pluss is a Social Enterprise that supports thousands of people with disabilities and other disadvantages into employment each year. We do this through a range of specialist, local employment services and through direct employment within our own Social Enterprises.

We passionately believe that our services should always include those furthest from the labour market and offer specialist employment support to people with a learning disability, mental health issues, physical disabilities and long term health issues.

We also believe that people with disabilities make excellent employees and are committed to directly employing disabled people; around half of our 500 strong workforce has a disability.

Pluss operates throughout South West England and West Yorkshire, with partner Social Enterprises across the UK. We currently develop , deliver and manage a range of innovative employability programmes on behalf of DWP (Work Choice prime contractor), a number of local authorities, NHS, European Social Fund and the Skills Funding Agency.

Pluss is owned by Devon County Council, Plymouth City Council, Somerset Council and Torbay Council.
